Burger Bench opened on Grand Avenue in late 2015, in the 1924 building that once housed the Escondido Times-Advocate. Since then we've been named Best Burger in Escondido three years running (2021–2023) by the Escondido Chamber of Commerce's Best of Escondido Eats Awards, and we're the only San Diego restaurant on Yelp's Top 100 Family-Friendly Restaurants in America.

Every burger is built on a fresh, never-frozen angus patty and a brioche bun baked daily in Poway — with grass-fed, Beyond, Impossible, lettuce-wrap, gluten-free, and halal options. Add 20+ San Diego craft beers on tap, local wines, craft sodas, and hand-mixed shakes, and there's something for everyone at the table.

We're proud to be part of Downtown Escondido — a certified Ocean Friendly Restaurant with Surfrider San Diego, a supporter of local schools and nonprofits, and a Friday-night regular for Cruisin' Grand crowds every spring and summer. Come find a seat on the bench.
